Meet the
Bride
Name: Kate Pauley
The Future: Mrs. Edwards
Age: 24
Dated Her Man: 7 months
Engaged: 3 months
Ring Cut: Flower- 1 center diamond and 8 smaller
ones around it
Kate is a
creative, free-spirited redhead who embraces all life has to offer. Her
greatest accomplishments (thus far) include learning how to make a killer cup
of coffee, discovering the beauty of weekend getaways, and marrying a man whose
love for Jesus pushes her to be more like Christ. When Kate is not preoccupied
with family, dear friends, and her dog, Otter—you’ll find her taking photos,
working on the launch of her photography website or racking up points for a
Platinum Pinkberry card (if such a thing existed). Native to the Lone Star State,
Kate now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Nick.
When asked, she
answered:
What is the best part about planning the
wedding? Knowing that
all of the hard work would bring all of my favorite people together.
What is the worst part about planning the
wedding? Feeling
pressured to check something off the planning list every day.
What is something you’d do different? I honestly don’t think I would have
changed much! Perhaps the flowers? I think I would have had more green, lush
bouquets full of eucalyptus.
What celebrity would you invite to your
wedding and why? Sufjan
Stevens, so he could have sang “Come Thou Fount” live, as I walked down the
aisle.
The Celebration
The Celebration
On July 4, 2013
sparks flew hours before the celebratory fireworks. Early in the morning Nick
whisked Kate away on a walk that would change their lives. The familiar trail
had sentimental value for it was the same place Kate and Nick took a stroll
just a few nights after they first met. In an intimate moment of solitude with
no cameras and no people, Nick proposed. “It was exactly what I wanted,” says
Kate.
The newly engaged couple wasted no time making their way to the altar. Excited to start their lives together as husband and wife, Kate and Nick worked with a 3-month planning timeline. While a range of emotions ran high during the planning period, everything fell perfectly in place.
Kate and Nick
wed on October 20, 2013 at the McCormick Home Ranch in Camarillo, CA. Soft hues
of ivory, gold, peach, rose and sage blended together effortlessly creating an
enchanting outdoor experience. The color scheme was also playfully incorporated
into the bridal party attire—each bridesmaid was wearing a different style
dress in a different color. After the procession of eleven bridesmaids, Kate
walked down the aisle in a white vintage v-neck gown with ruffled sleeves.
Joining her groom at the altar, surrounded by nature and the love of 200
guests, Kate and Nick pledged their lives to one another officially becoming
Mr. & Mrs. Edwards. In true 21st century fashion, the newlyweds
took a selfie at the altar before the recessional.
After the
ceremony, guests were escorted to an outdoor reception area on the same
property where the simple bohemian atmosphere continued. Integrated into the décor
were little quirks and details the couple requested to add personality. Food
was an important element to Kate and Nick, so they served their favorite—In-N-Out
burger with a side of salad and mac-and-cheese. The adoring newlyweds shared
their first dance to the song Beauty
by The Shivers and then joined their guests in the ultimate dance party.
By the
end of the night there was only one thing that captivated Kate and Nick more
than the magical evening under the starts—and that was, each other. The
celebration came to an end, but a life together has just begun.

Well, I am hiring a wedding planner for my wedding because I think he has lot of knowledge of wedding arrangements and wedding venues. He has given me advice that I should select Banquet Halls for my wedding reception.
