A Love Question: What Do You Want?

Psalm 37:4 is one of my favorite Bible verses and there are a few reasons why I cling to this verse:

1.     It gives me hope that the desires dwelling in me will someday be brought to fruition.
      2.     It tells me Jesus cares for me in that He will be the one to supply my needs.
      3.     It’s a priority check/reminder: Jesus first, then everything else.

But, in all these years of latching onto this verse and allowing it to penetrate my soul, I never once took a moment to consider what approach Jesus took to becoming acquainted with the desires of my heart.

Holley Gerth—a woman who pursues God and encourages other women through her gift of writing—expands on Jesus’ approach in her recent entry A Love Question: What Do You Want?

My encouragement for you today, as a woman seeking to build character and nurture her inner beauty, is to read Holley’s entry and allow her insight into the profound question of What Do You Want? to inch you closer to understanding the love your creator has for you.
